When Deep Ellum Brewing launched its new sour program, we saw it as an opportunity to elevate the brand's image in the local beer scene. We developed a completely new identity for Barrelhouse that stood apart from the brewery's core lineup and the competition on the shelves.
We designed custom cartons, bottle caps, and glassware to tie the brand together. Although sour beers take time to develop, the simple label system allowed for quick iterations and special releases when needed without sacrificing quality.
